Promoting the development of the donor movement is one of the key areas of activity of the NGO "Parents of Cancer Patients". For a long time, we have been organizing and participating in events that popularize and shape donor culture.

SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DONOR MOVEMENT

Since 2017, the NGO "Parents of Cancer Patients" has combined social and educational support for children with cancer with an information company for the development of the donor movement.Every year, on the basis of the Sumy Regional Blood Service Center, exhibitions of creative works of children of the hematology department of the Sumy Regional Council "Regional Children's Clinical Hospital" were held.

The Sumy Regional Blood Service Center is a unique example of public-private partnership in an extremely important industry. This explains the uniqueness of the institution in the organization of work, relationship with donors and participation in advanced research.

In 2009, the blood donation center changed its form of ownership from communal to public-private, after which the investor company "Biopharma" invested more than 3.5 million US dollars in the development and re-equipment of the institution.
